  • Entry Requirements
    • Students must be 19+ and have L2 or above English & Maths Functional Skills/GCSE or be working towards them alongside studying your Access to Higher HE course.
    • A good level of ICT skills (most assignments will need to be typewritten, and you will be learning online).
    • Also, to participate in this programme you will need a suitable computer and/or device with sufficient internet access. Specific requirements and information on the support available to borrow or purchase equipment can be discussed at interview.
  • Assessment Methods

    The Access to HE Diploma is designed to reflect the rigor and demands of undergraduate study. It includes a range of assessment methods such as essays, reports, exams, presentations, and portfolios. The assessments will be spread throughout the year, and you will receive regular feedback to help you progress and develop your skills.

    This is an intensive course with an extensive workload and therefore will require commitment and time for attending the online workshops, independent self-study, research and completing the assignments. There will also be 1:1 teacher support available to help you complete your course successfully. Applicants must be able to commit to the study requirements of the course.

    Learners who complete and achieve the Access to HE Diploma could progress onto Higher Education courses including bachelor’s Degrees, Foundation Degrees, Higher National Certificates and Diplomas (HNC/HND) and Higher Degree Apprenticeships.

    The Access to HE Diploma could also support entry into employment areas where evidence of study and achievement at level 3 is required.

    This course is delivered online.

    Online Learning is a way of accessing qualifications and courses, supported by a personal tutor but without attending lessons in a classroom setting. This means you can complete your studies in the comfort of your own home, giving you the opportunity to recap on your studies as often as you need to.

    You will meet with your pastoral tutor to give you support and complete an individual action plan. Your tutor will give you advice about time management to support you with your career goals.
