Ofsted

Ofsted is a government organisation that stands for The Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills. It reports directly to Parliament and is both independent and impartial. Ofsted’s main aim is to promote improvement and to hold educational establishments accountable.

LLCs provision has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted.

Investors in People – IIP

Investors in People (IIP) is a recognition that leaders, employees, and companies work together to create an effective environment and the organisation looks to improve its performance, whilst managing the development of its people. Over 50,000 organisations from all types of industries have been accredited and the accreditation is recognised in 63 countries around the globe.

After a rigorous process of assessment reviewed by Investors in People (IIP), London Learning Consortium (LLC) achieved the silver accreditation. Achieving the IIP silver accreditation recognises a highly empowered workforce, supportive management and an embedded commitment to developing individuals. Silver is a fantastic achievement and only 20% of the organisations they assess achieve.

It means that the right principles are in place but more than that, it means people and leaders are making active efforts to make sure that there’s real consistency and everyone in the organisation are feeling the effects.

Matrix

The Matrix Standard is the international quality standard for organisations that deliver information, advice and/or guidance (IAG). Either as their sole purpose or as part of their service offering.

Any organisation which manages, administers and delivers information, advice and/or guidance service to support individuals in their choice of career, learning, work or life goals can become accredited to the Matrix Standard. It does not matter whether the service or services are delivered face-to-face, through training, learning, remotely, or through a website.

The Matrix Standard is owned by the Department for Education and is managed by The Growth Company on their behalf.

London Learning Consortium (LLC), has been accredited to the Matrix Standard, demonstrating the high quality of skills and education programmes. We are a Community Interest Company that combines the direct delivery of its own skills and education programmes with the coordination and quality assurance of a network of voluntary and community sector learning providers.

Disability Confident

LLC is a Disability Confident organisation.

Disability Confident organisations play a leading role in changing attitudes for the better. They’re changing behaviour and cultures in their own businesses, networks and communities, and reaping the benefits of inclusive recruitment practices.

The Disability Confident scheme helps employers recruit and retain great people, and to challenge attitudes and increase understanding of disability, draw from the widest possible pool of talent, secure high-quality staff who are skilled, loyal and hard-working, and improve employee morale and commitment by demonstrating fair treatment. It also helps identify those employers who are committed to inclusion and diversity in the workplace.

Croydon Good Employer Charter

LLC is an accredited member of the Good Employer Network, meeting the charter’s criteria made up of four key elements:

Pay Living Wage is a commitment to paying their employees London Living Wage, a wage rate higher than the government’s National Minimum Wage because it is calculated according to the cost of living.

Employ Local asks businesses to agree to support the creation of jobs and training opportunities for Croydon residents by considering them for positions in their organisation and where possible employing locally.

Buy Local asks businesses to support the local economy by investing in the local supply chain and local business.

Include All asks businesses to commit to being an inclusive employer by promoting equality and diversity in the workplace and implementing best practice for employee support.
