LLC Teachers Development Programme for New Teachers and Assessors

Are you interested in teaching or assessing adult learners? Do you need help to get the training and qualifications needed? If so, LLC is able to help!

At LLC, we recognise that having motivated, well-trained, and qualified teachers are essential to ensuring a high-quality learning experience for our learners.

We are keen to harness and grow the talent and skills of new and existing teachers and learners who join LLC by encouraging participation in our ‘Home Grown Teachers’ Programme.

LLC can help by:

• Providing access to fully funded or part-funded training (dependent on eligibility and in line with LLC’s CPD Policy)
• Offering classroom teaching practice
• Assessing candidates to build your portfolio of assessment
• Offering the opportunity to shadow LLC’s team of experienced tutors and assessors
• Getting support from an experienced mentor
• Providing guaranteed interviews for our teaching and assessing vacancies

You may:

• Already be a learner on our Teaching Assistants course
• Have some relevant teaching experience but no qualification
• Have relevant vocational/specialist experience but no teaching or assessing experience
• Be an assessor interested in becoming IQA qualified

Qualifications funded include:

• Teaching qualifications – Awards in Education & Training leading to Diploma in Education & Training
• Assessor/IQA Training – Assessment & Quality Assurance qualification
• L3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools

Delivery Model:

Training will be delivered via blended learning in 1-1 or small groups and will include face-to-face sessions with your tutor.  You will also undertake teaching & learning activities through self-directed online study. At the end of the programme, you will submit a portfolio of evidence for assessment.

Delivery Model:

• 2hr online session with a tutor over 6-12 weeks + 1 hr micro teach
• 15hrs tutor/self-directed study
