Career Description

London Learning Consortium (LLC) is an established ESFA Prime delivering a range of Training and Education programmes across London and the Southeast.  

We deliver a strong and diverse curriculum of accredited courses. These include Study Programmes, Apprenticeships and Adult Learning Loans.  

LLC is a Grade 2 Ofsted provider with very high learner and employer satisfaction and achievement rates.  

We are now delivering a range of programmes for adults and young people aged 16-25.  

To assist our Programme delivery, we are seeking qualified and experienced individuals to deliver Employability & Customer Service qualifications up to L2  

Ideally applicants should have prior experience of working with young people facing barriers to achievement or having Special Educational Needs (SEN) or experience of teaching adults with low level starting points.  

Contract Type: Casual

Location: Croydon 

Salary:£22.87ph  

Working pattern: Part-Time

Monday – Friday; up to 35 hours per week; Term-Time Only

Responsibilities

LLC is seeking enthusiastic, motivated tutors to support our students on their Study Programmes. We are looking for tutors, educated to at least level 3 in a related subjects and/or with relevant industry experience to deliver and assess on our programmes.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching Learning and Assessment

  • Involvement in planning, delivery and assessment of the program provision in line with internal quality and required exam board outcomes.
  • Use student profile information and initial assessment information to plan for effective delivery and differentiation of learning.
  • Ensure assessment of learning is on-going, effective and delivered as per the agreed assessment plan.
  • Responsible for the progress and success of designated learners with targets agreed by the Head of Curriculum.
  • Tutor learners based on Individual Learning Plans and monitor, support and challenge learner targets, attendance and attainment.
  • Liaise with parents and carers as and when required to support student achievement.
  • Create a positive environment for learning and set high expectations for learners regarding attendance, punctuality, engagement and achievement.

This is not an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities. The post holder will be expected to undertake other tasks and duties commensurate with the role.

Person Specification

Qualifications & Knowledge

  • Minimum level 3 qualification in subject
  • Hold a formal teaching qualification at level 4 (CTLLS or equivalent) or above (preferable although not essential)

Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience of working in the related industry
  • Experience of working with young learners aged 16-18
  • Teaching experience
