London Learning Consortium (LLC) is a leading Community Interest Company (CIC) based in London, delivering high-impact learning and employment services across the capital and South of England. With a turnover exceeding £5 million and a recent Ofsted Grade 2 (Good) rating, we continue to grow our reach and impact as one of the city’s most respected third-sector education providers.
Now in our 20th year, LLC delivers a wide range of accredited and non-accredited learning programmes to individuals, employers, and communities—promoting social and economic mobility, enterprise, and lifelong learning.
Board Recruitment: Strengthening Our Strategic Leadership
Due to upcoming changes in Board composition, we are now seeking to appoint exceptional individuals to join our Non-Executive Board and help shape our strategic direction, governance, and continued growth.
Location: Capital (Croydon) and the South (Brighton & Bexhill).
We are particularly interested in applicants with senior experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Finance
- Post-16 and Adult Skills Curriculum
- Youth and Community Work
- Human Resources
- Safeguarding (this appointment may be in a co-opted capacity)
In addition to seasoned non-executive professionals, we warmly welcome applications from first-time NED candidates who bring senior-level expertise in:
- The Post-16/Adult Skills sector
- Financial strategy and oversight
- Human Resources management
- Education or fundraising leadership
Responsibilities
Board Commitment
- Time Commitment: Approximately 8 meetings per year (4 Board meetings and 4 Committee meetings).
- Committee Membership: All NEDs are expected to contribute to at least one of the following Committees:
- Finance & Resources (FARC)
- Quality & Curriculum (QCAP)
- Growth & Business Development (GBDC)
- Remuneration: A small honorarium is available in recognition of your voluntary service.
