To support our continued growth, we’re seeking passionate and dynamic Maths and English Tutors to join our East London team for the 2025/26 academic year. If you’re committed to empowering learners and delivering meaningful progress in both GCSE and Functional Skills, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Maths and English Tutor, you’ll deliver creative, high-quality lessons that support learner development and qualification achievement. You’ll work with young people (many of whom face barriers to learning) in both one-to-one and group settings, ensuring each learner is supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their potential.

Hours:  Part-time (Mondays & Tuesdays – up to 15 hours per week)

Remuneration:  Up to £26,000 per annum (pro rata), depending on experience

Working Pattern: Part-Time 

Location: East London Campus (Onsite)

Role Start Date: Week commencing 25th August 2025 (Student term starts 15th September)

Responsibilities

LLC is seeking enthusiastic, motivated tutors to support our students on their Study Programmes. We are looking for tutors, educated to at least level 3 in a related subjects and/or with relevant industry experience to deliver and assess on our programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths and English lessons aligned with internal quality frameworks and awarding body standards.
  • Use learner profiles and initial assessments to inform differentiated teaching strategies.
  • Carry out timely and accurate assessment in line with the agreed assessment plan.
  • Track and support the progress, attendance, and achievements of your learners.
  • Develop and monitor Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), setting clear goals and challenges.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and colleagues to promote learner success and engagement.
  • Maintain a high standard of classroom management and learner expectations.
