Q. Do I have to have good Maths and English GCSE results to enrol on a Study Programme?
A. No! You don’t have to have passed Maths and English. Here at LLC, if you didn’t pass your Maths or English, we help you to gain those qualifications alongside your vocational qualification choice.
Q. What can I do with the qualifications I gain from LLC’s Study Programmes?
A. After your time on our Study Programmes you can go on to employment, an apprenticeship or dive deeper into your chosen qualification at college or university. The opportunities are endless and we will help you every step of the way.
Q. What support is there available for learners?
A. Learners have access to on-site well-being and safeguarding officers. At LLC we also have trained first-aiders to make sure that should something go wrong, we can help. Most of our tutors are also trained to help learners with additional needs.
Q. Do I have to be receiving benefits to attend a fully funded Study Programme?
A. No!
Q. Does LLC help with travel costs?
A. Yes! Here at LLC, we help with travel costs and provide lunch vouchers to learners in our Study Programmes!
Q. How long are the Study Programmes?
A. The Study Programmes are around 36 weeks long. This enables you to get a better level of support from your dedicated tutor.
Q. How will I be assessed during the Study Programme?
A. Here at LLC we use various methods for assessing your skills and your understanding of the subjects you have studied. Here are the main methods of assessment for our Study Programmes:
- Class discussions/debates.
- Presentations.
- Practical tasks/projects.
- Written tasks.
Q. What are the entry requirements for joining a Study Programme at LLC?
A. The entry requirements for our Study Programmes are:
- Eligible to work in England.
- Have little or no work experience but are motivated to work.
- Aged 16 to 18 (or up to 24 with an EHCP).
