Sakil

Prior to starting his Step to Employment Traineeship, Sakil was a cleaner at the gym before realising this wasn’t the career for him, and that he was interested in learning Games development. Sakil knew he had to start at the bottom with his training and heard about London Learning Consortium through online research. He reached out to LLC to apply for a Traineeship and Sakil’s journey towards a new career began.

Sakil started the Traineeship with a lack of motivation, and he never believed he could do more than a cleaning job. Sakil attended a range of classes and work placements which allowed him to boost his confidence and raise his self-esteem. Whilst on our traineeship, he has become confident and has successfully passed all his qualifications and had good attendance and punctuality.

Sakil is now working as an administrator for a Nursery School under the Government’s Kickstart six-month scheme and looking to progress onto an Apprenticeship programme. He says “The traineeship programme works for people who do not know what to do with their career paths. The programme will give you opportunities, it provided me with the skills needed in the workplace.”
