We are excited to announce that if your business is located in Lambeth, you could be eligible for free training for your staff.

Lambeth Borough Council is working in partnership with London Learning Consortium to provide free training for employers to upskill their workforce.
Funded by the Greater London Authority and European Social Fund, your staff could be eligible to receive free training to support you to grow and develop your business.

Our training can be delivered flexibly in the workplace at a time and place to suit your business.

Courses are bespoke and are running throughout the year. So don’t delay – apply today!

We have courses available to upskill your staff in:

Support Teaching & Learning in Schools Certificate (Teaching Assistant) Level 2

This programme supports people who work in Primary, Special and Secondary education across all age ranges.

If you support the class teacher to enhance pupils’ learning either in groups or individually, this qualification will support you in recognising these skills and becoming a qualified teaching assistant.

The course will help you learn how to provide learning support to others working under the direction of the class teacher whose lesson planning and day-to-day direction set the framework within which you work.

Job titles include teaching assistant; classroom assistant; learning support assistant; additional needs assistant; pastoral/welfare support assistant; bilingual support assistant; foundation stage assistant.

Course Benefits

Basic IT Skills

The course will provide training on all the basic IT skills we all need at work in this digital age.

The course is for a minimum of 10 people delivered at the workplace and will walk you through the basic skills in IT, focusing on your individual needs as a person or company, we can focus in one of the following areas: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and basic rules of emails.

This will allow you to refresh digital skills and up skills IT in the workplace.

Customer Service Award Level 2

This is a short course on basic customer service skills.  This course will guide you through how to deal with customers and recognise their needs.

This is ideal for customer focussed job roles and employers who want to standardise how staff deal with customer queries in the workplace.

In this digital age, we all look at customer feedback online to decide whether we are going to use this service and providing Customer Service training to staff will increase the positive feedback from customers.

This course can progress you onto further recognised qualifications in your chosen area of work and give you those basic skills you need to provide excellent Customer Service.

The course is delivered at the workplace and delivered in 2 training sessions.
