Nail Services – Traineeship for young people aged 16-24 (or up to 25 with an EHCP)

We are working in partnership with AAXAcademy  (Absolute Aestheticsx  Academy) to deliver this Nail Services Traineeship. This programme is aimed at Young People aged 16 – 24 (25 with an Educational Health Care Plan) who are serious about gaining hands on experience in the Nail salon Industry with  a minimum of two weeks  work experience in the nail salon industry and equips you to be job ready to work in the nail salon industry.

Examples of the types of topics covered are:

  • Provide & Maintain Nail Enhancement
  • Client Care & Communication in Beauty-Related Industries
  • Provide Manicure
  • Follow Health & Safety Practice in the Salon
  • Provide Pedicure Treatments

For the practical / theory aspects of then Nail qualification you will be required to attend the AAXAcademy Beauty Academy in Feltham TW13 4BS.

On the Nail Traineeship Programme, Young People will undertake the following Nationally recognised qualifications:

  • Level 2 in Nails
  • Award in Personal Development for Employability
  • Essential Digital Skills
  • Functional Skills in English
  • Functional Skills in Maths

Plus a minimum of a two weeks Nail Salon work experience.

Type of programme: Traineeship

Course Length: On average, students spend 16 weeks on the programme.

Course Days: Monday to Friday 9.00 am -5.00 pm (breaks in between)

 


Location

Online remote for some elements of the programme. However, for the theory and practical elements of Barbering you will be required to attend the AAXAcademy Beauty Academy in Feltham (TW13 4BS). You will need to ensure you are able to get to AAXAcademy Beauty Academy in Feltham for the early 9 am starts.


Entry Requirements

You must live in the UK to apply for this course. Learners must be eligible to work in England, have little or no work experience but are motivated to work, aged 16 to 24 (or up to 25 with an EHCP), and can be qualified up to level 3. Learners must have at least Entry 3 English (or initial assessment identifying they are operating at Entry 3 in English) and Entry 2 Maths (or initial assessment identifying they are operating at Entry 2 Maths). Learners must be willing to undertake a minimum of 70 hours of work experience. You can also apply to the London Learning Consortium for a Discretionary Bursary to help contribute towards the Hair dressing Kit , travel, this will be discussed during the Initial Advice and Guidance when enrolling.


Qualification

Level 2 Certificate / Diploma. Level 2 Functional Skills English & Maths. Level 1 Essential Digital Skills. Award in Personal Development for Employability.


Who is this course for?

This course is for young people aged 16 – 24 (25 with and Educational Health Care Plan), unemployed or on a low salary that is able to attend a full time table Monday to Friday for 16 weeks.
