Maths Bite-size (Key Stage 2) – For Lambeth Residents Only


As often heard these days, we are living in unprecedented times, having to rely so much more on the internet to get our messages across to others whilst colleges, schools, universities and training establishments remain closed.

Come and join our online bite-size Maths course to build your confidence to support your children with their studies or maybe this can be an opportunity to awaken your Maths knowledge so that you can go onto bigger and better opportunities, especially if you have been out of education for a long time.

This course is for parents struggling to support their children at home with Key Stage 2 Maths. It is also suitable for Teaching Assistants in training who want to improve their classroom management and Maths skills for this age range.

The areas that will be covered are:

  • Place value
  • Adding, subtracting, multiplying and division
  • Order of operations (BIDMAS)
  • Decimals, fractions and percentages
  • Perimeter, area, volume and ratio

There will be a requirement to complete homework every week.

The course will be delivered twice a week, Mondays and Tuesdays. Each session will last 3 hours, 9.30 am – 12.30 pm. Last day will be a Monday. There will be test questions during the last session.


Classroom Online. We have adapted our classroom courses to online learning to support you through these difficult times. You can still expect the same high standards of support from our tutors who will continue to deliver classroom-based courses in the format of Zoom seminars and Teams online classes. You can also expect regular one to one support via e-mail and phone calls.
You will need internet access and a working tablet, laptop or PC.

Entry Level 3 in Maths & Level 1 in English
