ESOL course Speaking and Listening

This course introduces key ideas that are needed to speak and understand English in work and at home.

The sessions cover a variety of discussion topics including:

  • Speaking about myself
  • Describing my community
  • Jobs and work
  • Hobbies, interests and free time
  • Health and fitness

At the end of the course you will take part in a City&Guilds accredited ESOL Speaking and Listening assessment.


Who is this course for?

If you are living in the UK, or are beginning to establish yourself and English is not your first language, improving your ability to speak and listen will be very important for you to function in every day life.


Course Benefits

Basic English Grammar, including uses of:

  • How to listen and follow explanations and instructions
  • Sharing and responding to personal information
  • Identifying and expressing feelings and opinions
  • Making requests using appropriate terms
  • Making contributions to discussions that are relevant to the subject
