This course is delivered flexibly through monthly 1-2-1 sessions with your assessor, arranged at a time and date to suit you. You will also communicate through Teams, emails, and phone appointments in between your monthly sessions to keep you on track to achieve your qualification.

Course Overview
This qualification develops the knowledge and skills needed when working in a lead adult care worker role in care settings. It covers a wide range of areas including supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs, and health and social care procedures.
The qualification is aimed at leading adult care workers, support workers, and key workers in a range of adult care settings. You do not have to be employed but you will need a work placement to complete the competency-based elements of the course.
The qualification is structured in a way that means that all learners will have to complete a group of mandatory units, the content of which is required across any lead adult care role. In addition, there is a wide range of optional units to support areas of specialism, including:
- Learning Disability Services
- Dementia Care
- End of Life Care
- Residential Care
- Domiciliary Care
To achieve the Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care learners must achieve a minimum of 58 credits. Out of the total 58 credits, 43 credits must be at level 3 and above.

Entry Requirements

- Must been living in UK for minimum 3 years and be currently living in London.
- Unemployed or Employed (if employed not earning over London Living Wage of £23,300 per annum)
- Must have voluntary work experience placement or employed with adult care provider.
- There are no specific sector-recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they've already achieved a Level 1 or Level 2 qualification.

Assessment Methods
As this is a qualification that is delivered entirely online, the assessments will be through our online platform. Each unit has an assessment that will be marked by your tutor, with feedback given as required.

Career Opportunities and Further Study
After getting the qualification, you can progress to the Level 5 Diploma in Adult Care or the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services Adult pathway qualifications. You may also progress onto qualifications for management or lead practitioner roles in adult care, or to specialist qualifications reflecting the context in which they work.
You can progress into employment in residential or nursing homes, domiciliary care, day centres or some clinical healthcare settings within job roles such as Senior Care Support Worker, or Lead Personal Assistant.

You will be advised regarding your eligibility by an LLC Recruitment Advisor.
