  • Course Overview

    This qualification aims to develop and enhance skills required for the working environment and improve your confidence and communication skills in order to prepare you for employment or for a change in employment. You will cover topics such as understanding mindset, time management and interview skills. You will also get the opportunity to improve your CV.

    The mindset unit covers the wonders of the mind and how your thinking can propel you forward and improve your confidence. You will understand the difference between a fixed and growth mindset and why some of our own beliefs can be holding us back and what to do to change it. During the understanding conflict at work unit, you will learn more about what are the causes of conflict at work and how this can be managed. You will learn about the Equality Act and the rights of individuals at work.

    Writing a CV – you will understand the information required to go into a CV to make you stand out, you will learn the winning formula to getting an interview and know what employers are looking for!

    Interview skills – you will have a deeper understanding of the whole interview process; learning how to prepare for an interview, controlling nerves and deciding what to wear.

    You will then be taken through a proven process which will guarantee to uplift your confidence levels and help you understand how to answer those tricky questions. Finally, you will be able to have a practice session which will help you to feel comfortable when you get a real-life interview.

    We have modified the programme to help support those who not only have been out of work for some time but also, those who have found themselves recently unemployed due to the COVID-19 crisis.

  • Entry Requirements

    You should have basic Maths & English (entry levels accepted). There are no subject-specific recommended prior learning requirements for these qualifications. However, you may find it helpful if you've already achieved an Entry Level 3 qualification.

    If you are joining an online classroom course then you should have IT skills at least at Entry Level to enable you to access your classroom sessions.

  • Assessment Methods

    This qualification is internally assessed by your tutor and externally moderated through the development of a portfolio of evidence.

    Employability Award Level 1 NCFE.

    Learners who achieve these qualifications could progress to:

    • NCFE Level 2 Award or Certificate in Employability Skills
    • NCFE Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration

    Classroom Online. We have adapted our classroom courses to online learning.

    You can still expect the same high standards of support from our tutors who will continue to deliver classroom-based courses in the format of online seminars and online classes. You can also expect regular one-to-one support via e-mail and phone calls.

    You will need internet access and a working tablet, laptop or PC.

  • Price and Funding

    This course could be fully funded subject to eligibility criteria.

    If you wish to pay for this course the commercial price is £300 and you can do it in instalments.

    To be eligible for full funding, you must meet the following criteria:

    • Must be aged 19 or over.
    • Must not have previously completed this course.
    • Must have been living in the EU for the last 3 years.
    • Must live in England.


    If you are working you may also be eligible for part funding or choose to pay for your course.

    You will be advised regarding your funding eligibility by an LLC Recruitment Advisor.
