  • Course Overview

    This is a short course providing knowledge of basic customer service skills. In this course, we will guide you through how to deal with customers and recognise their needs. This is ideal for customer-focused job roles and employers who want to standardise how staff deal with customer queries in the workplace.

    In this digital age, we all look at customer feedback online to decide whether we are going to use this service and providing Customer Service training to staff will increase the positive feedback from customers across any customer-facing sector.

  • Who is this course for?

    Level 1 will suit you if you have no previous experience, but are looking to develop your skills to work in the customer service industry.

    At this level, you will develop your knowledge and demonstrate your customer service skills. In addition, if you are already working in the sector and want to improve your skills then this course can also be a great starting point.

  • Entry Requirements
    • There are no formal entry requirements but you should be at least at Level 1 in English and Entry Level 3 in Maths.
    • You may also benefit from having completed a Level 1 qualification in this subject or related sector or from having relevant work experience.

    All units will be individually assessed by LLC tutors using a range of assessment methods and will be checked by internal verifier.

    Those looking to start a customer service-focused career may want to take these qualifications as part of an Apprenticeship. The Apprenticeship in Customer Service helps you build your skills whilst you gain valuable work experience.

    If you're committed to advancing your career by building strong customer service skills, you may want to progress on to an additional qualification. After completing the Level 1 NVQ, you could take the Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service or Customer Service Apprenticeship.

  • Location

    Classroom Online. We have adapted our classroom courses to online learning.

    You can still expect the same high standards of support from our tutors, who will continue to deliver classroom-based courses in the format of online seminars and online classes. You can also expect regular one-to-one support via e-mail and phone calls.

    You will need internet access and a working tablet, laptop or PC.

  • Price and Funding

    This course could be fully funded subject to eligibility criteria.

    If you wish to pay for this course the commercial price is £400 and you can do it in instalments.

    To be eligible for full funding, you must meet the following criteria:

    • Must be aged 19 or over.
    • Must not have previously completed this course.
    • Must have been living in the EU for the last 3 years.
    • Must live in England.


    If you are working you may also be eligible for part funding or choose to pay for your course.
