LLC provide a wide range of training, learning and educational programmes. We have extensive experience providing services that can help our customers make the right choices whether it is for their organisation, their own career, employment aims, or for their local community.

Our programmes involve detailed training needs analysis sessions for individuals or an organisational training needs analysis to help employers plan their workforce development needs.

As the organisation is approaching the end of its eleventh year we seek to further expand our motivated and highly skilled workforce and are currently recruiting for the following positions:

  • Classroom Tutor to deliver Teaching Assistant qualification

Functional Skills (Maths and English) (Classroom Provision) Level 1 & 2

London Learning Consortium (LLC) provides high quality accredited Further Education classroom and apprenticeship training to local communities and businesses across London.

LLC are seeking to appoint an ambitious and highly motivated Functional Skills Tutor to deliver this vocational qualification in a classroom setting.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Qualified to at least PTTLS level
  • Core skills to Level 2 in English, Maths & ICT
  • Experience in teaching English and/or Maths and or ICT
  • Outstanding personal written and verbal communication skills

DESIRED CRITERIA:

  • Experience of working with adult learners
  • Working towards or have achieved a Level 4/5 Subject Specialist qualification in Literacy and/or Numeracy
  • Excellent ICT Skills

Applicants should have recent relevant classroom teaching experience, as well as comprehensive knowledge and previous experience of delivering ‘Functional Skills Maths & English’ qualification as a classroom provision.

Pay for Freelance Tutors depends on the level of the course and is paid at an hourly rate over the duration of the framework or qualification.

Please note that there is a two stage application process which consists of us short-listing applicants on the basis of their CV supported by a covering letter. Tutor to deliver Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools – Freelance

London Learning Consortium (LLC) provides high quality accredited Further Education classroom and apprenticeship training to local communities and businesses across London.

London Learning Consortium are looking to recruit occupationally competent experienced staff who hold appropriate teaching qualifications and subject specialist qualifications to train in the following vocational programme;

  • TA – Level 2 & 3

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

Non Executive Directors

Would you like to be part of a hugely exciting organisation and help to drive the strategic agenda to have a positive impact on learning and employment services?

 

London Learning Consortium (LLC) is one of the City’s largest and growing Third Sector Consortiums. As a Community Interest Company (CIC), they offer learning and employment services to individuals, employees and employers to enable social and economic prosperity, enterprise and growth. LLC is over ten years old and provides accredited and non-accredited skills provision across the City.

 

They are looking for exceptional people who can add a range of skills and experience that can further strengthen their Board of Directors.

 

They are seeking Non-Executive Directors with at least one of the following areas of expertise:

 

* Senior experience within Post 16/Adult Skills sector

 

* Senior management experience in HRM

 

* Senior experience in educational or fundraising campaigns

 

Their Voluntary Board meets 4 times a year, with opportunities to get involved in other activities according to your own interests and availability. As part of your role as Director, you will receive a small remuneration for support for Non-Executive Services to their organisation.

 

The position of Non-Executive Director is one of key importance to their organisation. London Learning Consortium (LLC) has a strong and committed board that provides effective Governance and oversight of their organisation. Each NED is recruited to supported specific areas of the organisations’ Governance as well as contributing to the Governance Board as a whole.

 

Commitment: 4 Board Meetings, up to 2 Board Away days & 2 annual service visits.

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

 

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of Senior Management/leadership, change management and personal achievement in a complex environment in either the private, voluntary or public sector. You are likely to have had Non-Executive Director experience and some of the following:

 

  • Highly credible with experience of operating at senior level within an organisation with performance based budgets/complexity gained in the private, voluntary or public sector
  • A portfolio of high level organisational and governance skills e.g. strategic planning, financial management, risk management, organisational performance management and service delivery development
  • Politically astute – able to grasp relevant issues underpinned by an understanding of developing partnerships and building relationships with other organisations
  • Experience of achieving change management and transformation in a service based organisation
