    Management Information Services (MIS/Data) Manager

    London Learning Consortium (LLC) provides high quality accredited Further Education classroom and apprenticeship training to local communities and businesses across London.

    We are recruiting a key new role reporting directly to the Finance Director with responsibility for managing, analysing and reporting on funding and learner data.

    We are looking for someone who is highly numerate, has advanced IT, analytical and communication skills, who is confident using a range of IT tools and who will work closely with the senior management team to facilitate effective corporate decision making.
    Education (FE or HE) experience is desirable. Must have excellent IT, Data Management, Reporting and Modelling Skills.

    Responsibilities include:

    • To have overall responsibility for the integrity, accuracy and completeness of learner and other corporate data (hands on role)
    • To provide accurate and clear data analysis and reporting to both internal and third-party users.
    • To be the 'Company expert’ on all funding compliance rules and curriculum developments to ensure adherence to these.
    • To ensure the Company maximises its funding from all funding agencies, employers and learners.
    • To be responsible for using the Company's data cleaning processes to ensure the learner data is compliant with Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA regulations. Systems used in these processes will include Funding Information System (FIS), Provider Data Self-Assessment Toolkit (PDSAT), the Hub and the Funding Rules Monitoring Reports.
    • Responsible for European Social Fund (ESF) Data Analysis.

    Functional Skills (Maths and English) (Classroom Provision) Level 1 & 2 - Freelance

    London Learning Consortium (LLC) provides high quality accredited Further Education classroom and apprenticeship training to local communities and businesses across London.

    LLC are seeking to appoint an ambitious and highly motivated Functional Skills Tutor to deliver this vocational qualification in a classroom setting.

    ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

    • Qualified to at least PTTLS level
    • Core skills to Level 2 in English, Maths & ICT
    • Experience in teaching English and/or Maths and or ICT
    • Outstanding personal written and verbal communication skills

    DESIRED CRITERIA:

    • Experience of working with adult learners
    • Working towards or have achieved a Level 4/5 Subject Specialist qualification in Literacy and/or Numeracy
    • Excellent ICT Skills

    Applicants should have recent relevant classroom teaching experience, as well as comprehensive knowledge and previous experience of delivering ‘Functional Skills Maths & English’ qualification as a classroom provision.

    Pay for Freelance Tutors depends on the level of the course and is paid at an hourly rate over the duration of the framework or qualification.

    London Learning Consortium are looking to recruit occupationally competent experienced staff who hold appropriate teaching qualifications and subject specialist qualifications to train in the following vocational programme:

    • TA – Level 2 & 3

    ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

    • Qualified to at least PTTLS level

  • Senior IT Technician

    London Learning Consortium (LLC) provides high quality accredited Further Education classroom and apprenticeship training to local communities and businesses across London.

    Purpose of Post:

    To provide First to Third line technical support to all ICT users and to work with an external IT Support Provider to administer, maintain and develop LLC’s ICT systems. To ensure the day-to-day IT network infrastructure is running effectively. To ensure LLC utilises the latest technology for the benefit of all stakeholders

    Responsibilities - IT and Technical Support

    1. Be the first line maintenance for computer and network equipment, including checking equipment, setting-up of new equipment and fault-finding in non-working equipment. Liaising and assisting external maintenance engineers with equipment repairs and including logging repairs in IT database. 2. Assist with ordering of equipment, dealing with suppliers, documentation of computer system and supplies, and any other ad hoc requirements or needs. 3. Install, configure and upgrade ICT hardware, desktop & laptop Windows operating systems and client PC software. Including the implementation and management of the latest Technology Learning Environment software/systems. 4. Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues/queries. 5. Set up new and existing equipment as required, this includes the porterage of computing equipment and consumables. 6. Setting up and supporting the latest Technology Learning Environment (E.g. Office 365) for learners, staff and relevant stakeholders. Provide support/training for staff and learners in using the latest office technology effectively. 7. Where necessary, provide technical lead on software tools and liaise with relevant agencies to ensure systems are fully functional, up-to-date and optimised. Advise Senior Management on recommendations and actions as and where appropriate. 8. Maintain the Telephone and Photocopier systems including accounts for staff. Liaise with engineers for maintenance support and upgrade the systems’ as necessary. 9. Maintain the hardware database for audit purposes and advise the senior staff, as required. 10. Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnose and resolve hardware & software faults. Look to develop and use remote access software where necessary. 11. Provide in-house education and training, as required. 12. Record and monitor all technical support requests on a central helpdesk database. Produce quarterly comparative statistics and trend data for Senior Management Team (SMT). 13. Provide appropriate IT support to LLC hubs 14. Lead and maintain the catalogue of software installed in the Organisation. 15. Liaise with the external IT support company to seek additional guidance & advice as necessary and to define and adapt the IT strategy. 16. Produce (IT related) documentation, guidance notes/manuals, and reports as directed. 17. Ensure the organisation is advised of the necessary data protection guidance to remain compliant with how data is used and stored 18. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation (IT related only) 19. Create, maintain and publish relevant support documentation in order to assist all staff/students in the quick resolution of their incidents and service requests and enable users to become more self-sufficient. 20. Assist in system recovery processes to minimise the risk and impact of a serious disaster and threats to continuity (including ensuring the appropriate back up regime and virus protection is utilised). 21. Ensure all our Network data is securely backed up and is recoverable in the event of an IT network failure or natural disaster (as per LLC Business Continuity Plan). 22. Arranging and manage annual PAT testing of all IT equipment. 23. Conduct appropriate Health & Safety Risk Assessments ensuring all information is appropriately logged and actioned timely. 24. As directed and where required, plan, prepare and conduct tests on systems to aid innovation and to facilitate in identifying ways of improving efficiency and effectiveness in systems operation. Including the testing of new applications before installing on the live system/server. 25. Undertake such additional duties or projects as the CEO or line manager may determine from time to time, after consultation with the post holder.

    Personal Specification

    SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE:

    Essential

    1. Sound knowledge of configuring and managing Microsoft Windows network operating system and security systems. 2. Sound knowledge of configuring and managing VMWare tools, VEEM or similar. 3. Commitment to working flexibly and responding to IT issues at times of system or hardware downtime. 4. Possessing a high level of interpersonal and communication skills.

    Desirable

    1. Programming and data management skills.

    EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

    Essential

    1. At least level 3 in Maths and Level 2 in English. 2. Qualified at Degree level (2.2 or higher) in an IT related subject or another recognised IT qualification (Level 4 or higher) 3. Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on IT systems and networks in an Organisation 4. High-level technical network and IT skills appropriate to the tasks outlined (networks, hardware and software support for users, backup routines, telephone system).

    Desirable
