Up Skill South London
A major project is now launched across six South London boroughs of Croydon, Lambeth, Merton, Sutton, Greenwich, Lewisham to help employees and employers in small to medium businesses and third sector organisations.
The project runs from September 2008 to August 2010 and targets SME employers who fall within two main categories:
1) Health and social care and childcare professionals and their administration and support staff
2) SME businesses whose staff are seeking a recognised Level 2 ICT qualification in any sector
Key activities:
- The project funds 450 level 2 places and 50 embedded SFL programme as part of the project.
- Engagement with 210 employers to offer work force development planning for SME businesses.
- 12 employer seminars across South London.
- Ongoing free information, advice and guidance or employee career progression throughout the projects duration.
Who is eligible?
This is for employees with prior qualifications at level 2 but not eligible for free (fully-funded) Train to Gain training whio are also;
