NVQ 2 accredited training: Advice & Guidance Support
This Advice and Guidance NVQ covers skills that are transferable across a
broad range of sectors – you could find yourself in a building society,
advising on financial matters; in a visitor centre, recommending day
excursions; or offering advice as a support worker with social
services…the possibilities are endless in this growing field. No matter
what type of organisation you work for, you’ll learn about its core
values, services and procedures, which will help you to assist
customers. You could be providing advice and guidance face-to-face, or
over the phone on one of the 1,500 different advice lines in the
country. For this job, you’ll need good communication skills and even
better listening abilities. You’ll also need a thorough understanding of
your specialist subject so you can confidently explain things to
others.
