Careers Guidance and Workforce Development

The London Learning Consortium (LLC) offers free Career Guidance and Work Force Development services to employers, employees, volunteers and jobseekers who are looking for practical solutions to career and work force development.

Information, advice and guidance for employers, employees, volunteers and jobseekers

These free services provide information and advice on career planning, local training / learning opportunities or can focus on skills development linked to the job search process

We also offer one to one sessions for those who require bespoke advice on moving back into the labour market or to progress within their current job. There is also the opportunity to sign up to one of LLC’s many vocational courses. LLC also offer employers in depth training needs analysis for their organisation and staff teams.

Our Committment

London Learning Consortium has committed to ongoing development of its IAG services in its 3 year development plan (2007-10). As an organisation, we value and promote the benefits of Careers Guidance and Work Force Development in supporting all people to gain access to the learning, skills and employment opportunities that enable them to reach their full potential.

Service Areas 

Our four service areas are:

Career development workshops

Topics include: CV development, Interview Skills, Effective Job Search, Accessing Learning and Training, Progression your Career, or sessions around soft skills development such as Communication, Team Work and Motivation.  

1:1 course enrolment sessions

We aim to guide you to the most appropriate course to help you progress in work and further learning. Currently, training delivered through our providers includes health and social care, customer service, ITQ, childcare, and skills for jobs.  

1:1 careers session

Currently FREE face to face interviews are offered to those without a full NVQ 2 qualification, or in certain cases, level 3. Generally interviewees will be referred to this service via the Career development workshops, but alternatively you can contact us to discuss whether you would be eligible for this specialised guidance session  

Organisation training needs analysis

A FREE service in which LLC advice managers and senior staff in organisations on the analysis, planning and commissioning training for their staff.
