Advice and Guidance Practitioner

Job Description: Main Duties: • Having one to one advice & guidance sessions • Supplying career advice • Helping people into work and education. • Administration • Data input • Action planning with clients • Client follow-ups • Employer and course leaser • Answering the telephone and, dealing with enquiries. • Assisting in the preparation of documents, photocopying and document binding and ad hoc tasks upon request • Filing • Assistance with various year-end tasks such as collating statistics of centre users retention, exam results and any other statistics that is required by centre manager • Requirements CRB checked With A NVQ Level 3 in Advice & Guidance

NVQ Assessor

Job Description: Various vocational areas Main Duties: • To carry out the role of the NVQ Assessor • To assess learners doing NVQ. Will need to be CRB checked • Training is provided

IT Tutor Assistant

Job Description: Main Duties: • Prepare Scheme of work for the course and lesson plans o Prepare materials (notes that the students have to follow) and update them on a regular basis • Mark student’s work • Prepare for the exams • Liaise with examining bodies regarding entries for exams, exam papers, any other issue arising concerning exams • Ensure that folders for teaching resources are up to date • Prepare materials for initial assessments and interview • Prepare induction pack • Prepare student’s details on index cards • Organise for the career’s adviser to come and speak to the students • Improve on the training we provide and ensuring that it’s in accordance with the education standards. • Ensuring that training starts and complete within the schedule time o Needs to have CRB o Training can be provided depending on experience

Childcare Assistant

Job Description: Main Duties: • CRB check imperative. Induction and on-the job training will be provided. • Work closely with childcare manager, conduct classroom activities that promote social development and educational growth of children. • Participate in planning and supervising daily and long-range activities. • Responsible for children's health, safety and physical needs. Recommend supplies and equipment needed for educational programmes. • Communicate with parents about children's progress and problems. • Maintain attendance records.

Childcare Worker

Job Description: Main Duties: • to provide child care service working with children 0-5 years within the Children Centre setting -working across the family support programme, community events programme and the nursery provision in partnership with parents, other professionals and agencies using our service. • All post holders would need to have full CRB - but would always be supervised by other staff. Training on the job is provided, access to early years training, attendance at staff meeting. The post holder will receive Centre training and one to one supervision. To include 1 hour unpaid lunch break

Outreach worker

Job Description: Main Duties: • Help promote the centre’s programme, giving flyers out to people, attending events where centre’s activities can be promoted • Help develop centre’s promotion plan and activate it • Liaising with employers, young people and other members of the public in order to promote centre’s activities • Planning events on the centre’s behalf that will draw in young people 16-19 and to help publicise summer scheme • To keep a documentation of all promotional activities and report regularly to the centre administrator

Graphics Tutor

Administrator Assistant

Job Description: Main Duties: • Reception duties – answering telephone, responding to enquiries, face to face contact with customers/parents • Maintaining office systems, Updating files, dealing with correspondence work, taking minutes • Complying with financial procedures • The post holder would be office based but as the post is in a children’s environment, they would need to have a CRB check

Administrator

Job Description: Main Duties: • To be front line staff at training centre, carrying out reception duties • Dealing with queries on the phone and face to face • Filling in initial contact forms • Making office stationery orders, taking inventories of supplies • Liaising with tutors and centre administrators • Carrying out other duties as required by the centre administrator

Nursery Assistant

Job Description: Main Duties: • Play activities with/for children from 6 months to five years • Helping with their personal needs (e.g. feeding, dressing, toileting) • Initiating activities • Candidate will need to be CRB checked

Cleaner

Main Duties: • Vacuum cleaning hard and soft floors • Cleaning spillages, wiping furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors and polishing door glass • Emptying and cleaning bins • Cleaning toilets including sanitary fittings and surrounds • Mopping and spray cleaning hard surfaces • Replenishing janitorial supplies in toilets, etc • Checking and closing windows, switching off lights after work • Such other duties as may be allocated from time to time • Reprting defects/hazards
